Romatem Health Group, which provides services with treatment methods such as robotic rehabilitation devices, virtual reality (VR) therapies and digital health solutions, has a rehabilitation unit specially prepared 3 years ago for MS, Parkinson's and cognitive patients, where special treatment is applied to patients with brain damage after strokes, cerebral hemorrhage and traffic accidents.
Aiming to strengthen Turkey's goal of becoming a global leader in health tourism, Romatem Health Group announced that it has been offering personalized treatment processes as well as physical healing for 19 years. The facility, which provides services with treatment methods such as robotic rehabilitation devices, virtual reality (VR) therapies and digital health solutions, continues its treatments in the rehabilitation unit specially designed for MS, Parkinson's and cognitive patients 3 years ago. In the unit, where the progression of the disease is stopped with the treatment applied to MS patients with walking and balance disorders in their daily lives, while the length of the walking steps of Parkinson's patients is increased, a team of 5 people consisting of physical therapy and rehabilitation specialists, neurologists and physiotherapists take special care of the recovery process of the patients. It is aimed to improve visual memory by working with visuals with technological applications specially designed for patients with brain damage after cerebral hemorrhage, blockage of cerebral vessels, stroke and traffic accidents.
PATIENTS ARRIVING IN WHEELCHAIRS RETURN IN THEIR OWN VEHICLES
Neurology Specialist Dr. Nermin Çalışır (53), who said that patients who come to the specially designed rehabilitation hall with wheelchairs return to their homes with their own vehicles and public transportation vehicles after the session, said, "We have created a working area for MS, Parkinson's and cognitive patients to overcome all the difficulties they experience in life with us here. At the same time, we have a special work plan not only for MS patients and Parkinson's patients, but for all diseases with impaired walking and balance. MS patients often do not feel the length of their steps, especially their feet, and we work for them. We have applications for them to sit, stand up, turn, make sudden movements without falling. Our patients who come here in wheelchairs return home by their own vehicles or public transportation after their sessions."
WE ALSO HAVE PATIENTS FROM ABROAD
Stating that Parkinson's patients abroad also prefer the rehabilitation hall, Çalışır said, "Rehabilitation in Parkinson's disease is the third step of treatment. Not only medication, brain pacemaker and surgical treatment, but also physical therapy and rehabilitation make a great contribution to the lives of Parkinson's patients. They try to crawl on the ground with their feet, they have a very difficult time walking because they cannot get up. Their risk of falling is very high. Here, we contribute to their walking and balance by making them do the same movements in different ways. We also have patients coming to our hall from abroad," he said.
WITH SOFTWARE SUPPORT, OUR PATIENTS CAN CONTINUE THEIR TREATMENT PROCESS AT HOME
Pointing out that they can continue the treatment process of their patients at home with software support, Dr. Nermin Çalışır said: "Patients have brain damage after a cerebral hemorrhage, blockage in the brain vessels, stroke or a traffic accident. First of all, we aim to make them walk and move. We provide services so that the person can speak, understand and remember things. First, we do all the tests. Is there a problem with the patient's attention, understanding, remembering or planning a task? After identifying them, we prepare a personalized plan for the patient and create a treatment plan for half an hour every day. We also have software support. Because after starting treatment here, we also continue with homework at home. The patient continues to study this at home with a tablet and computer."
